This work is based in the faith and passion of the Mexican people.

As start point I decided to use the idea of how the  the Grana Cochinilla wich is a parasite  grow up  in the Nopal (Mexican Cactus) and give a extreme red color when get dry and how this became very important element  in the religious and historical connotations of the Aztec culture.

Red color in many cultures is symbol of passion and get fascinated with the idea of how can I transform a parasite in something passionate.

The second element was a poem by Pita Amor, a Mexican diva and poet. She was a beautiful diva.

Very passionate woman she went crazy of love, crazy of beauty, but above all crazy of passion. I tried to unify these two items and create my own interpretation of emotions in a visual language which shows the fragility and strength of love.
