Dusty old roots

Are my dusty old roots
the strange key of my captivity;
I am bound to dust and its mystery,
essences of others I've overlooked.

In my pores are already identified
the scars of a eternal empire
dust in me has marked his cautery,
I am a victim of guilt forgotten.

In dusty way I feel it
new roots and to startle
I bequeath, to my anguished breath.

But conquering the air assault,
I have nothing to do with what I feel,
I am unhappy accomplice somewhat higher

GUADALUPE AMOR, (Pita Amor)

Parasite of your love

This work has found its inspiration in the passion of the Mexican people and the Mexican history.

For this series I used two elements. The first one is the Mexican cactus "NOPAL". A very special  parasite grows inside this cactus and is used to create natural red dyes. The colour red relates to the passion. It’s fascinating how a parasite can turn into something passionate.

The other element was a poem by Pita Amor, a Mexican diva and poet. She was so beautiful that she went crazy. Crazy of love, crazy of beauty but above all crazy of passion. I tried to unify these two items and create a translation of emotions in a visual language which shows the fragility and strength of love.
